At Smart Tech Laptops, every laptop and device is professionally tested, inspected, and restored before sale. We stand behind the quality of our products and offer warranty coverage for eligible purchases.

Warranty Period

Refurbished Products: 12-Month Warranty
Used (As-Is) Products: 3-Month Warranty
The warranty begins from the original purchase date.

What Is Covered

Hardware failures (motherboard, RAM, storage).
Screen/display faults (excluding physical damage).
Battery faults only if the battery is completely non-functional.
Operational defects occurring under normal use.

What Is Not Covered

Reduced battery capacity due to normal wear.
Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or marks.
Accidental damage including drops, spills, or misuse.
Software issues including viruses, corrupted installations, or user-installed software.
Unauthorised repairs or modifications.
Accessories unless specifically included in the warranty.

Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Major faults – You are entitled to a replacement or refund.
Minor faults – We will repair or replace the product within a reasonable time.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email us with your order details.
Provide photos or videos if requested.
Return the device once your claim has been approved.
After inspection, we will repair, replace, or refund the device where applicable.

Repairs, Replacements & Refunds

Repairs will be completed at no cost whenever possible.
If repair is not possible, the device will be replaced with the same or an equivalent model.
If neither repair nor replacement is available, a full refund will be issued.

Shipping Costs

If the warranty claim is approved and a fault is confirmed, Smart Tech Laptops will cover return shipping costs.
If no fault is found or the issue falls outside warranty coverage, shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
